Ministry officials appealed directly to motorcyclists to adhere strictly to safety gear rules, emphasising that helmet usage remains essential for minimising fatal head injuries during road accidents.
To accommodate vehicle owners seeking to regularise their documentation, the Ministry of Interior has temporarily expanded operational capacity across licensing departments nationwide. Traffic administrative offices are now operating extended afternoon hours until 5:00 PM daily alongside standard morning shifts to process sticker installations and licence renewals.
In parallel with individual driver citations, traffic units in Cairo and Giza impounded 31 abandoned and derelict vehicles left on public thoroughfares. Executed in coordination with municipal councils, municipal police, and public utility units, these sweeping field operations aim to eliminate hazardous roadside obstructions, improve urban congestion, and establish rigorous traffic oversight throughout all Egyptian governorates.
By combining technological oversight with strict physical enforcement, police authorities are signalling zero tolerance for traffic violations while upgrading public safety standards on the nation’s roadways.
